Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Mac supports administration via Kaspersky Administration Kit 8 including creation of tasks and group policies.

Before creating a policy for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Mac, it is necessary to do the following:

  • install the plug-in for Administration Console;

  • install Network Agent on the managed host an connect it to your Administration Server;

In order to create a policy for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Mac:

  1. Go to the node Managed computers > Policies;



  2. Right-click it and select New > Policy;

  3. Click Next, enter a policy name and click Next again;



  4. Select Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Mac in the drop-down menu and click Next;

  5. Select the option Active policy and click Next if you want to apply the policy immediately upon creating it;

  6. The following step of the Wizard allows modifying File Anti-Virus policy settings. Select File Anti-Virus and click the button Configure. You can also skip the policy configuration for now and do it after creating the policy;



  7. Click Next. The following step allows configuring default settings for antivirus scan tasks. Click Next to skip the step;



  8. The following step allows configuring default settings for the update task. Click Next to skip the step;

  9. The following step allows configuring proxy server properties. Click Next to skip the step;

  10. The following step allows configuring the interaction with user. Click Next to skip the step;



  11. The following step allows configuring reports, quarantine and backup storage settings. Click Next to skip the step;



  12. Click Finish to create the policy.
