How to configure Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows notifications

  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows (for File Servers)
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows allows different notification modes:
    • Pop-up messages in system tray.

    • Email.
    You can configure the notification mode. The notification mode is configured individually for each event type.

    How to configure the notification mode:
    • Open the main Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows window.

    • Open the Settings tab.

    • Select Advanced settings > Interface in the left frame. The right frame will display interface settings.

    • Click the Settings button in the Notifications section.



    • A Notifications window will open. It contains a list of application components and tasks in the left frame, and the event log for the selected component or task in the right frame.



    • Select a component or task in the left frame.

      The components marked in the Screen column will output notifications in the form of pop-ups.
      The components marked in the Email column will email the notifications.

    • Click the Email notification settings button.

      Information It is recommended to configure this option in a centralized manner via Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 Administration console.

      • Enable the Send event notifications by email option.

      • Enter the Sender's email Address, and server address and port in corresponding fields.

      • Enter User name and Password of the user account specified in the Sender's address field.

      • Enter the recipient's address in the Notification recipient section.

      • Click Test to test the notification delivery.

      • Select a Send mode: If event occurs, or By schedule.



    • Click OK twice.

    • Click Save in the main Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows window to save the changes.
