 ID Article: 7345    Other languages:  Francais  Deutsch  日本語  Polski  Русский  Español  English      Views for 7 days 12    Last modified on 01.11.2012 16:09 Printable version

Applies to:
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows (for Workstations)
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows (for File Servers)
  • Kaspersky Security Center 9
  • Kaspersky Security Center allows installing Kaspersky Lab software with individual for each group settings.

    How to install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 with preconfigured settings:

    • Create a special file describing what application components to install, and configure the main installation settings. This can be achieved two ways:
      • create a new installation package in Kaspersky Security Center and make all the necessary changes by editing the installation package properties (or use a ready installation package);
      • manually create a setup.ini file for Kaspersky Security 8 for Windows, and specify all the necessary settings in this file.
    • Copy a key file and a Kaspersky Security 8 for Windows settings file in an installation package or extracted installation distribution kit (if you are not using Kaspersky Security Center).

      Warning You should copy the the key file and the setup.ini settings file to the exec subfolder (the one containing the MSI file) inside an installation package.
    • Create a new application remote installation task for the newly created installation package (copy setup.ini and a key file to the folder with the new installation package).

    There is a special article dedicated to the setup.ini file.
