Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for File Server includes the option of importing and exporting settings. This is a helpful feature when, for example, you need reinstall the OS, save the program settings and use them after the OS reinstall. You can export settings into a configuration file and import the saved settings back once both the OS and product have been reinstalled. You can also use this option if you want to load settings of Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for File Server onto another computer.

How to export the application settings into a file

In order to export the application settings into a file, perform the following:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the top right corner of the window click the Settings link.

  3. In the top part of the Settings window go to the General tab.
  4. In the left part of the Settings window select the General section.
  5. In the right part of the Settings window click the Save button.

  6. In the Please, specify a configuration file window enter a file name and select folder into which the configuration file should be saved.
  7. Click the Open button.

  8. In the Settings window click the OK button.
  9. Close the main application window.

    How to import the application settings into a file
