How to create a request to Web Content Analysis Lab?

If when working with the Anti-Banner, Anti-Phishing and Parental Control / Web Policy Management components included to the products Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 / 2011 / 2012, Kaspersky PURE / Kaspersky PURE R2, Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer some problems appeared, you can create a request to Web Content Analysis Lab via the My Kaspersky Account service. You can create a request if one or more of the following problems appear:

  • Anti-Banner from your Kaspersky Lab product does not block a banner on a web page or incorrectly detect parts of web pages as banners.
  • Parental Control / Web Policy Management does not block access to an unwanted web site or perform false positives.
  • Anti-Phishing does not block a phishing web resource / e-mail or a web resource / e-mail is falsely marked as a phishing web resource / e-mail.

In order to send a request, perform the following actions:

  1. Enter My Kaspersky Account.
  2. In the left hand part of the window, select the Send request to Web Content Analysis Lab from the Manage and submit your requests submenu.

  1. In the request form, perform the following actions:
    • Request type. Select the required request type from the drop-down menu:
      • Anti-Banner:
        • Anti-Banner does not block ads
        • Banner false detection
      • Parental Control:
        • Incorrect Parental Control category
        • False positive of Parental Control
        • Parental Control does not block an unwanted web site
      • Anti-Phishing:
        • Phishing web resource is not blocked
        • Web resource is falsely marked as a phishing web resource.
        • Phishing email is not blocked
        • Email is falsely marked as a phishing email

    • URL to the web resource. You can enter one of the following:
      • For Anti-Banner: either the site address, for example, http://site.com (in this case you are required to specify the banner address in the Detailed description field) or you can enter the address to the banner, for example, http://site.com/image2.gif.
      • For Parental Control: URL to the web site.
      • For Anti-Phishing: URL to the web resource / email.

    • Number of the web site visits. If you have data concerning the web site visits a day, then select one of the variants:
      • Less then 10 000
      • From 10 000 to 100 000
      • More than 100 000

    • Product. From the drop-down menu select the Kaspersky Lab product problems with which appeared (the list of products contains only Kaspersky Lab products which include the Anti-Banner, Anti-Phishing or Parental Control / Web Policy Management modules):
      • Kaspersky Internet Security 2012
      • Kaspersky Internet Security 2011
      • Kaspersky Internet Security Special Ferrari Edition
      • Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 for Parallels
      • Kaspersky Internet Security 2010
      • Kaspersky PURE
      • Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer
      • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations

    • Product version. Select the version of the product problems with which appeared (different versions are displayed depending on the product you selected in the Product section). If you cannot find the required version, select Other version from the list and enter the version of your Kaspersky Lab product in the appeared field.

How to know the databases release date: KSOS 2 for PCPURE R2, PURE, KIS 2012, KIS 2011, KIS 2010?

    • Product verdict. Product verdict is a Report line. Depending on the component the line contains one of the following data:
    • For Anti-Banner: information about blocked and allowed banners (time, application info, result applied to a banner, full path to an object, block reason).
    • For Parental Control: information about blocked or allowed web resources (web address, time, applied result).
    • For Anti-Phishing: information about blocked or allowed phishing web-resource / email (object name, event reason, time).

    How can I know a product verdict?

    • Detailed description. Describe your problem and provide the following info:
      • For Anti-Banner:
        • The banner location on the page.
        • Textual description of the banner which is blocked/not blocked by the Anti-Banner module.
      • For Parental Control:
        • Textual description of content which is blocked/not blocked.
      • For Anti-Phishing:
        • Reason why the specified web resource should be detected/not be detected as a phishing web resource (examples, feedbacks, web resource reputation).
        • Textual description of content which is blocked/not blocked.

    • Contact E-mail. Specify your e-mail address for feedbacks.

  1. Check whether all the fields are filled in correctly and then click on the Submit request button.
