Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer

• Enabling control of the running applications
• Creating the list of allowed software
• Creating the list of blocked software

Using Web Policy Management from Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer you can control and limit using the software.

With the enabled control, the software start and stop time will be registered in the report, running the blocked software will not be allowed.

In order to configure the Control application usage option, perform the following actions:

1. Open the main application window.
2. Go to the Web Policy Management tab.
3. Select the required account.
4. Click on the Configure policies button.

4. In the left part of the window Settings - Web Policy Management for user "account name" in the Computer section, select Running applications.
5. In the right part of the window, check the Enable control box.

6. You can create the lists of allowed and blocked programs and assign restrictions in time usage for the specified programs.

Creating the list of allowed software

In order to create the list of allowed applications, perform the following actions:

1. In the Applications section on the Allowed tab, click the Add link.

2. In the Allowed software window, select the executable file of the required application by clicking the Select... button.
3. Select one of the items from the drop-down menu:
• select Browse... to select an application installed on your computer.
• select Applications... to select the running at the moment application.

4. The Name field will be automatically filled in, but you can enter the required name manually.
5. To limit the application usage on days, check the Limit usage on the selected days box.
6. To make the application accessible for the user, click on the Allow button and select the required time and days in the table.
7. To make the application unaccessible for the user, click the Block button and select time and days in the table.
8. Check the box Limit daily operating time to specify operating time when the application will be accessible.
9. If you specify the restrictions for the user, then the application usage will be logged automatically. In this case the Log usage option is unavailable. If there are no resctrictions for the application usage, then the Log usage option is accessible. In this case you can specify whether the application usage will be logged.
10. After you have configured the required options, click on the OK button.

Creating the list of blocked software

In order to create the list of application which will be blocked by Web Policy Management, perform the following actions:

1. In the Applications section on the Blocked tab, click the Add link.

2. In the Blocked software window, click the Select... button
3. select one of the items from the drop-down menu:
• select Browse... to select an application installed on your computer.
• select Applications... to select the running at the moment application.

4. The Name field will be filled in automatically, but you can enter the required name manually.
5. Click on the OK button to add the application to the list of blocked software.

7. In the Settings - Web Policy Management for user "account name" window, click OK
.
8. Close the main application window.
