Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 1.1

 

The local network should meet the following software requirements for using Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 1.1:

  • Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 Critical Fix 2

    It is necessary to have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 or higher installed on the computer hosting the Kaspersky Security Center administration console.

  • The following VMware virtual infrastructure configuration is required for installing Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 1.1:

    • VMware ESXi 5.1 hypervisor (build 709733), ESXi 5.0 hypervisor (patch 1, build 474610 or higher) or VMware ESXi 4.1 hypervisor (patch 3, build 433742 or higher).
    • VMware vCenter Server 5.1, VMware vCenter Server 4.1 or VMware vCenter Server 5.0.
    • VMware vShield Manager 5.0.0 or VMware vShield Manager 5.1.0.
    • VMware vShield Endpoint 5.0.
    • VMware View 5.0.0 build 481677
    • VMware vShield Endpoint Thin Agent driver. The driver comes with VMware Tools included in VMware ESXi 5.0 patch 1 hypervisor. The driver should be installed on the virtual machine protected using Kaspersky Security.

  • Software requirements for guest operating systems used on the virtual machines protected with Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 1.1:
    • Desktop:

      • Microsoft Windows Vista (32 bit);
      • Microsoft Windows 7 (32 / 64 bit);
      • Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or higher (32 bit);

    • Server:

      • Microsoft Windows 2003 (32 / 64 bit);
      • Microsoft Windows 2003 R2 (32 / 64 bit);
      • Microsoft Windows 2008 (32 / 64 bit);
      • Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 (64 bit).
