How to view brief statistics or detailed report on instant messaging via IM clients in Kaspersky PURE 2.0?

Controlling instant messaging (via ICQ, Miranda and etc ) means controlling correspondence contents and contacts with which the messaging is allowed. Using Parental Control in Kaspersky PURE 2.0 you can:

If messaging with a contact is prohibited, then all messages addressed to or received from this contact will be blocked. Information on blocked messages and key word presence in messages is displayed in the report.

How to view brief statistics on instant messaging via IM clients

To view brief statistics, do the following actions:

  1. Open the main program window.
  2. On the main program window click Parental Control.

  1. On the Parental Control window next to the necessary account click the Settings and reports button.

  1. At the top part of the Parental Control window go to the Reports tab.
  2. On the left part of the window select General Statistics.
  3. On the right part of the window brief statistics via social networks will be displayed.

  1. Close the Parental Control window.
  2. Close the main program window.

How to view detailed report on instant messaging via IM clients

To view detailed report, do the following:

  1. Open the main program window.
  2. On the main program window click Parental Control.

  1. On the Parental Control window next to the necessary account click the Settings and reports button.

  1. At the top part of the Parental Control window go to the Reports tab.
  2. On the left part of the window select Instant Messaging.
  3. Detailed report on instant messaging via IM clients will be displayed in the right part of the window:
    • Direction. The message direction (incoming  or outgoing ).
    • Contact. A sender or receiver of the message.
    • Messaging . Text of the received or sent message.
    • Time. Time of sending or receiving.
    • Result. Message status (Blocked/Allowed) depending whether messaging with the sender/receiver is allowed/blocked.
    • Reason. Reason for blocking/allowing a message.
    • Private Data. Private data (if specified) that were detected in the message.
    • Word Usage. Words and phrases from the list of keywords (if specified) detected in the message.
    • Number of messages. Total number of messages received for the selected period.
    • Popular contacts. Diagram of the popularity of contacts depending on the number of messages received and sent.

  1. If you want to messaging with a contact, do the following:
    • Select the required contact in the list and click on the "+" button.

OR

    • Click on the View messages button.
    • In the Messaging: <contact name> you can view messaging or select another contact.
    • Close the window.
  1. In order to view the report on a specific period, select the required period from the drop-down menu in the Period section. You can select one of the following periods: day, week, month, year, entire period. You can switch periods by clicking on the arrow buttons.

  1. Close the Parental Control window.
  2. Close the main window.
