During the period when your license is valid you can upgrade the version of the product you have purchased.

Purchasing the Kaspersky Lab product, you also purchase the right to use this application during the license period (1 or 2 years). The correct period is automatically defined by the Activation Code.

Activation code is a charset of 20 symbols; this charset is divided into 4 sections with 5 symbols in each (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).

In order to activate the Kaspersky Lab product, it is required to have an established Internet connection.

You can activate your Kaspersky Lab product during the installation process, or via the License manager window after the product installation is fully completed.

During the license period you can upgrade the version of the purchased program (as new versions are released). New versions have extended program functions and corrected errors.

For example, you purchased Kaspersky PURE 2.0 with the license period 1 year. Version 12.0.1.284 was saved on the CD. You installed this version. Some time later Kaspersky Lab released a new version of the product – 12.0.1.288. If the version was released during your license validity period you can download and install it on your PC with the activation code you have, thus upgrading your Kaspersky PURE 2.0 version.
