The Data Encryption functional module in Kaspersky PURE 2.0 is designed for protecting confidential information against unauthorized access and data leakage.

To protect your personal data, the mechanism of encryption is used. It means that data is stored in an encrypted form in a special container. Container is an encrypted object created by the user with the Data encryption function.

128 Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) – symmetric encryption algorithm – is used to encrypt the container.

You have to enter a password to access the data stored in the container and Kaspersky PURE 2.0 should be installed on the computer.

When you access the protected container, data stored on the container are automatically decrypted in RAM. When you complete work with data, they are automatically encrypted.
