In order to restore the initial state of Kaspersky PURE 2.0, perform the following actions:

Step 1. Download the program distributive

Download and save the latest version of Kaspersky PURE 2.0.

1. In an email message from the eStore click the link to download the distributive. If the link validity period has expired, download the distributive from the Kaspersky Lab site.
2. In the File download window click Save.
3. In the Save as window select the location to save the distributive (Desktop is the default location) and click Save.
4. When the file download is complete, click Close.

Step 2. Delete the installed program

In order to uninstall Kaspersky PURE 2.0 from your computer, perform the following actions:

1. Click the Start button (by default, in the left lower corner of the screen) > All programs.
2. Select Kaspersky PURE 2.0 from the list.
3. Select Remove Kaspersky PURE 2.0 from the menu that will open.

4. In the welcome window of the Setup Wizard click Next.

5. In the Saving objects window, specify the objects that should be saved. The possibility to save the program data is useful if you are going to use/ install Kaspersky PURE 2.0 later. The following data can be saved:
• Activation data. If you save your activation data, then you will not need to activate your application when you re-install it. The product will be activated automatically.
• Backup and quarantine files. Backup objects are backup copies of the objects you have deleted or disinfected. It is recommended that you save such objects so that they can be restored in the future. Quarantine objects are those probably infected with viruses or their modifications. Such objects contain code which is similar to that from a known virus. It is recommended that you save them since they may turn out to be uninfected, or become disinfectible after the application databases are updated.
• Application operating settings (including Back and Restore). You can save all specified settings for all the application components.
• iChecker data. The database contains information about scanned NTFS objects. It allows accelerating the object scan. By using the data from this database, Kaspersky PURE 2.0 only scans the objects that have been modified since the last scan.
• Safe Run shared folder data. These data are accessible both in Safe Run and in common run mode.
• Encrypted containers (including the data). The data that was placed into an encrypted container.
• Password Manager databases (for all users). The data that was available when working with Password Manager – passwords to programs and accounts, identities, notes and etc.

If a considerable time interval has elapsed between the moment you had removed an older version and the moment you had installed a newer one, we recommend that you abstain from using the iChecker database saved since the previous installation of the application. During this time interval, a malicious program may have penetrated into your computer and taken malicious actions that cannot be detected with this database, which may eventually lead to the infection of your computer.

If you re-install the application due to components malfunctioning, then in order to eliminate your problem, it is not recommended to save the application operating settings.

6. To continue the uninstallation, click the Next button.

7. In the Ready to uninstall window, click the Remove button to confirm that you want to uninstall Kaspersky PURE 2.0.

8. Wait until the uninstallation process is completed
9. In the Kaspersky PURE dialog window, click the Yes button to restart you computer. This requires to fully uninstall the application.

Step 3. Re-install the program

In order to reinstall Kaspersky PURE 2.0 after the system restart, perform the following actions:

1. Find and launch the downloaded distributive (with the .exe extension), by double-clicking it.



2. Follow the instructions of the Setup Wizard:
• Express installation of Kaspersky PURE 2.0.
• How to change installation settings of Kaspersky PURE 2.0.

What to do, if problems occurred during the program installation or deletion

If during the installation or uninstallation of Kaspersky PURE 2.0 an error message appears or you have any issues, then create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support via My Kaspersky Account service. Describe your problem in all the details. Attach error screenshot to your request (if you have any) and report of the Getsysteminfo tool.
