Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 detects malware Trojan.Win32.Generic but cannot delete it. What should I do?
Trojan.Win32.Generic is software detected by the Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 heuristic analyzer as potentially dangerous software. Your antivirus databases do not contain the required disinfect signature.
If any software installed on your computer was detected by Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 as Trojan.Win32.Generic and this software was quarantined, but it was not deleted, then in order to resolve the problem perform the following actions:
enable the Rescan quarantine after update option:
open the main Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 window
in the right upper corner of the window click the Settings button
in the left part of the Settings window select the Update item
in the right part of the window click the Settings... button
in the Update settings window that will open go to the Additional tab
check the Rescan quarantine box in the After update section
click the OK button in the Update settings window
in the right lower corner of the Settings window click the OK button
run the antivirus databases update task. In order to do so, go to the Update tab in the main application window and then click the Start update button
wait til the process is successfully completed
if the signature is added to the antivirus databases, then the detected malware will be disinfected or deleted
If after the scan process some quarantined objects are determined as not infected, then they will be restored to their initial place.
if after the performed actions the quarantined suspicious malware was not disinfected, then restore a potentially dangerous object from the Quarantine, pack it to a zip archive with the password virus (for example, using WinZip) and send this archive to Virus Lab.
