Applies to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4 September 30, 2009: Kaspersky Lab announces the release of Maintenance Pack 4 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (build 6.0.4.1212).
New features in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP4
Fixed issues:
- Critical error resulting in freezing Anti-Virus when downloading files with size larger than 2 GB.
- 100% processor load by the avp.exe process if the current month does not include the date on which the task execution schedule is set (e.g., for the full scan task).
- Error of changing the email message creation date after having moved the message from one shared folder to another.
- Troubles when loading certain Web-oriented programs after having enabled Web Anti-Virus or Anti-Spy.
- Critical error resulting in freezing the operating system when installing the application on a laptop running under Microsoft Windows Vista Business.
- Troubles from a slowdown of certain SecretNet 5.0 options on a computer where the application is installed.
- Troubles when adding certain objects to a trusted zone.
- Error occurring during the streaming scan by Web Anti-Virus, resulting in freezing Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Error in Registry Guard, resulting in disabling certain functions of Microsoft Windows Vista when shifting users.
- Troubles from dubbing the messages incoming via POP3 from certain mail servers in Microsoft Office Outlook.
Changes:
The following operating systems are no longer supported: Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows ME, Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0.
Installation methods:
It is possible to use Maintenance Pack 4 for initial installation of the application as well as for upgrading previously released Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations application versions.
