How to configure applications' access to the webcam in Kaspersky Internet Security 2015

Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 blocks unauthorized access of applications to the video stream.

By default, Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 blocks access to the webcam for applications that have been assigned High Restricted or Untrusted status. If an application with the Weak Restricted status tries to access the webcam, Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 will request permission to allow the access for this application.

You can configure applications' rights to allow or block access to the webcam.

Important! Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 does not control access of applications to:

  • Audio data from the webcam microphone in case the application tries to access audio data separately from video data
  • Storage media that interacts with the webcam directly, whenever it is the webcam’s built-in memory or external memory (for example, an SD card)
  • Webcam functions (rotation, focus, zoom, etc.) control interface
