Kaspersky Lab announces the release of patch R for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 R2 for Windows Servers on August 18, 2014.

Fixes

  • Incompatibility with new license keys. They can now be added to the product without prior installing the private patch L.
  • Some errors that caused critical errors when the product is being suspended.

Improvements

  • Changes that prevent false alarm when scanning Microsoft-signed files.

Installation

Patch R is installed automatically during the update of anti-virus databases and executable modules.

  1. For automatic installation of patch R on managed computers in the network where Kaspersky Administration Kit is deployed, select the check boxes Update application modules. To do it, open Update - Windows Workstations - Properties.

  1. For automatic installation of patch R where Kaspersky Administration Kit is not deployed, select the check box Update application modules in the Update section.

It is necessary that you restart the computer after patch R has been installed.
