Kaspersky Lab specialists may request an update task trace file for troubleshooting the issues related to updates of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows Servers.

In order to get a patch installation trace file:

Trace files in text format have unique names like [Application_version]_[Creation_date]_[Creation_time_GMT]_PID.HST in the %ProgramData% folder (the drive letter may vary depending on your settings):

  • for Microsoft Windows Vista / Windows 7/ Windows 8 / Windows Server 2008 R2: C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\

  • for Microsoft Windows XP / Windows Server 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\
 
Please send the resulting file with a description of the issue to the Kaspersky Lab Technical support service .

In order to delete a trace file, you should exit the application, delete the trace file from the %ProgramData% folder and start the application again.
