How to configure applications' access to the webcam in Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for Personal Computer

Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for Personal Computer blocks unauthorized access of applications to the video stream.

By default, Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for Personal Computer blocks access to the webcam for applications that have been assigned High Restricted or Untrusted status. If an application with the Weak Restricted status tries to access the webcam, Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for Personal Computer will request permission to allow the access for this application.

You can configure applications' rights to allow or block access to the webcam.

Important! Kaspersky Small Office Security 4 for Personal Computer controls access of applications to:

  • Audio data from the webcam microphone in case the application tries to access audio data separately from video data
  • Webcam built-in or pluggable digital media
  • Webcam functions (rotation, focus, zoom, etc.) control interface
