Important! Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2016 does not ensure full protection of your computer right after it is installed. For solid protection of your device, please run an update as soon as Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2016 is installed and activated.

To update the application, you need an active license. To activate a license, you need an activation code that can be purchased in Kaspersky Lab Online Store. To renew a license that has expired or is about to expire, use License Upgrade & Renewal Center .

If you want to upgrade to a newer version, but the automatic upgrade does not work, download the latest version from Kaspersky Lab website and run the installation file.

If you experience any problems updating the application, see the article How to diagnose update problems in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2016.

Update starts every three hours, which can be changed in applications settings. The application downloads only those databases that are needed for enabled components.
