The Secure Keyboard Input component in Kaspersky Total Security 2018 operates with the following limitations:

  • It works only if the Kaspersky Protection extension is installed and enabled in the browser.
  • When Secure Keyboard Input is enabled, the autofill option is disabled for Internet Explorer.
  • Secure Keyboard Input only works on web pages that meet the following requirements:
    • The web page is present in the list of URLs that require secure data input.
    • The page is opened in the Safe Browser, or the page is open in a regular browser, but added to the Exclusions for Secure Keyboard Input.
    • The web page is not present in the URL exclusions list.
    • According to the application's settings, the category the web page refers to requires Secure Keyboard Input.
    • The web page contains a text box for password input while the check box Password entry fields on all websites is selected.
  • Secure Keyboard Input does not function with the application Google Japanese Input installed, in conjunction with the following conditions:
    • The computer is running under Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
    • The text entry box is not a password entry field.
  • Secure Keyboard Input does not function with the ATOK application installed, in conjunction with the following conditions:
    • The computer is running under Windows XP.
    • The text entry box is not a password entry field.
    • Browser is opened via the Sandboxie application.
  • The product only protects the text entry boxes that meet the following requirements:
    • The text box is a single-string field and described by the <input> HTML tag.
    • The text box is not hidden. The HTML attribute type does not have the value hidden; the CSS parameter display:none does not apply to the element.
    • The input field is not an element of the following types: submit, radio, checkbox, button, image.
    • The input field is not read-only.
    • The input field must be able to get focus.
    • If the field has maximum length defined (maxlength), the length of the entered text must be no less than three characters.
Until you first restart your computer after installing Kaspersky Total Security 2018, the component will not intercept the first character in an input field, regardless of the application used.

If you experience any problems with the application components, submit a request to Kaspersky technical support by choosing the topic of your request.
