Issue using exim dlfunc on operating systems running under systemd with Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Linux Mail Server

When trying to use dlfunc, there might be an error accessing /tmp/klms_filters (No such file or directory).

Cause

This issue arises because PrivateTemp is enabled for exim after updating the operating system. The /tmp directory becomes empty for the exim process, because /tmp is located by default in /var/tmp.

Solution

To fix the issue, do one of the following:

  • Disable PrivateTemp for exim.
  • Rerun setup-script and configure integration once again. dlfunc will use its own temporary folder /var/opt/kaspersky/klms/tmp/klms_filters/.
