How to get the worklogs of Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers

In some cases virus scan of messages may incorrectly detect malicious code in the messages that are safe. You can get the detailed logs (traces) to identify the issue:

  1. Open the console of Kaspersky Security 9.x for Microsoft Exchange Servers and select the server.
  2. Go to Settings and in the right frame, select DiagnosticsSettings.

  1. Enable detailed logging of the following events:
    • Mailbox anti-virus protection agent.
    • Anti-Virus transport agent.
    • Anti-Virus Module kernel.

  1. Reproduce the issue. Try sending the message from backup or restore the file to the mailbox. Make sure the malicious file was detected.
  2. Change back the detail level for the events.
  3. Save the AntivirusScanner*.log file and send it to Technical Support.

The file is located in the application folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers\logs
