If it is impossible to connect your devices to the virtual Administration Server directly, you can manage it through a connection gateway. You can use an update agent as a connection gateway for a group of managed devices.

To assign a device as an update agent:

  1. Open the properties of the Administration Server.
  2. Go to Update agents and click Add.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select Add device from group.

The device will be assigned a role of an update agent and configured as a connections gateway.
