The article refers to Kaspersky Security Cloud 19 — Family and Personal.

Webcam Protection is a component of Kaspersky Security Cloud 19 which prevents unauthorized access to your web camera.

You can deny access for all applications or form groups of trusted applications which will be allowed to access the camera. When these applications try to access the web camera, you get a notification where you can allow or deny the access. For the guide on creating groups of trusted applications, see this article.

Kaspersky Security Cloud does not control access to:

  • Audio stream from the microphone of the camera, in case the application tries to access audio data separately from video data.
  • Built-in or removable drives of the webcam.
  • Other features of the camera.
