Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac runs regular scans for malicious objects that can harm your computer. If the application denies access to a file, but you are sure that it is safe, you can add it to the Trusted Zone.

The Trusted Zone is a list of objects Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac will skip during scan.

To exclude Safari network traffic from scan, add the following file paths to the Trusted Zone:

  • /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.WebKit.Networking.xpc/ Contents/MacOS/com.apple.WebKit.Networking
  • /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.WebKit.WebContent.xpc/ Contents/MacOS/com.apple.WebKit.WebContent
  • /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SafariShared.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.Safari.SearchHelper.xpc/ Contents/MacOS/com.apple.Safari.SearchHelper
  • /System/Library/Frameworks/webkit2.framework/versions/a/xpcservices/com.apple.webkit.networking.xpc/ contents/macos/com.apple.webkit.networking

To exclude Google Chrome network traffic from scan, add the following file path to the Trusted Zone:

  • /Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/Frameworks/Google Chrome Framework.framework/Versions/<VersionNumber>/Helpers/Google Chrome Helper.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome Helper

You can also add and remove other types of objects, such as files, filders and URLs from the Trusted Zone. For instructions, see Online Help.
