Hardware and software requirements

For Kaspersky Security to work properly, the computer should meet the hardware and software requirements listed below.

Hardware requirements

The hardware requirements for installing the Security Server are identical to the hardware requirements for a protected Microsoft Exchange server, except for the RAM volume. The Management Console is installed together with the Security Server.

Installation of the Management Console requires the following software:

To install any application component (Security Server or Administration Console), you must install Microsoft Windows update KB2999226.

The Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio package must be preinstalled before installing/updating the product. The latest versions of libraries of both bitness must be installed by the following links: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe, https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe.

For the correct application operation after installing and updating it, update the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam databases.

To install the administration plug-in, you must have the following version of Kaspersky Security Center:
