How to configure event log in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows generates a lot of events when running. These events can be critical, important, and informational.

For example, an update or a malfunction of a component generate an event.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows allows registering the events in two logs: 
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 event log;

  • Kaspersky Event Log in Windows event log.

To configure event log settings:

  • Open the main window of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows.

  • Open the Settings tab.

  • Select Advanced settings > Interface in the left frame.

  • Click the Settings button in the Notifications section.

  • The Notifications window will open. It contains a list of application components and tasks in the left frame, and the event log for the selected component or task in the right frame.



  • Select a component or task in the left frame.

    • The events checked in the Save in local log column are saved in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 event log.

    • The events checked in the Save in Windows Event log column are saved in Windows event log.

  • Click OK.

  • Click Save to save the changes.
