Generating a task log file in Kaspersky Security Center 9

Kaspersky Lab specialists may sometimes request a task log file for troubleshooting the Administration Server issues. A task log is a list of events occurred while the task was running, and the set of computers to which it was assigned.

To export a task log into a file:

  • Select a task in the Administration Console.
  • Click the Details link in the right frame.
  • The Task results window will appear.

  • Select a computer at the top of the window. All task events for a selected computer are displayed at the bottom of the window.
  • Right-click any event and select Export. This will start the Events Export Wizard.
  • At the first step, select the Export file and click Browse to specify the file name and location.
  • Leave the Export selected events only check box disabled.

  • Click Next.
  • At the next step, you can save the file in Unicode format. To do this, select the Export as tab-delimited Unicode text option.
  • Click Next.

The task log will be exported into the folder specified.

Attach the log file with the detailed description of the issue to the Technical Support request .
