The Self-Defense mechanism in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows protects the application against malware that may attempt to block or remove it.

Self-Defense prevents:

  • Application, quarantine and trace files from being modified or deleted.
  • System registry logs and memory processes from being modified or deleted.
  • Application processes from being managed by a remote computer.

On 64-bit operating systems, only protection against the modification and deletion of application files and system registry logs is available.
