When you start Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Management Console after Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud has been upgraded to a new version, you can enable or disable updates of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows on managed devices. When the updates are enabled, every eight hours Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud checks for Windows devices that have an outdated version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows and, if found, updates the security application on these devices. When the updates are disabled, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows is not updated on managed devices.
Later, you can enable or disable the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows updates, as described in this section.
The procedures described in this section are available only if you created your workspace before version 6.0 of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud and if Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.0 for Windows is still in use in your workspace.
To enable updates of the security application on managed Windows devices:
The Devices section contains a list of devices that have been added to Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
The button is displayed only if the workspace has managed Windows devices that have an outdated version of the security application.
The Manage updates of the device security application window opens with a list of Windows devices that have an outdated version of the security application.
You can use the filter to view lists of devices on which the update has been completed, the update is in progress, or an error occurred during the update. You can also use the device search function to view the application update status.
The security application update is started automatically on managed Windows devices that have an outdated version of the security application. Later, every eight hours Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud checks for Windows devices that have an outdated version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows and, if found, updates the security application on these devices.
After the application is updated, Windows devices are restarted according to the settings specified after Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud was upgraded to a new version or in the Settings section of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Management Console.
To disable updates of the security application on managed Windows devices:
The Devices section contains a list of devices that have been added to Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
The button is displayed only if the workspace has managed Windows devices that have an outdated version of the security application.
The Manage updates of the device security application window opens with a list of Windows devices that have an outdated version of the security application.
The security application update is disabled on managed Windows devices. Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows is not updated on managed devices.
If you want, you can enable the security application update again at any time.
