When configuring device protection, you can use two modes of a security profile:
You define settings for every desktop platform (Windows, macOS, and Linux) separately. As a result, settings of a single feature (for example, File Threat Protection) may differ for various platforms.
This mode allows you to define more granular settings of your security profiles.
You define identical settings for all desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, and Linux) at once, without having to switch between platforms.
This mode saves your time that is required for configuring the protection of users' devices.
At any time, you can switch between modes of a security profile.
To switch from the old mode to the new mode:
The Security profiles section contains a list of security profiles configured in Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
The Review changes wizard starts. The wizard displays values that are different between platforms, and unified values that will be set after the mode is switched. If there are no changes in the settings between platforms, the wizard is not displayed.
Proceed through the wizard by using the Next button.
Select this option if you are satisfied with the changes made during the mode switching.
Select this option if you want to make other changes to the security profile before saving the new settings.
Select this option if you want to reject the mode switching.
Click the Finish button.
The Review changes wizard closes.
Unless you choose the Discard changes and stay in Old mode option, the security profile mode is switched to the new one.
