Operating mode

To manage users' access to websites based on lists of allowed and forbidden websites, select one of the available operating modes:

• Allow only listed websites. This mode lets you create a list of allowed websites. By default, this mode is selected, so access to websites is not restricted.
• Allow all websites except listed ones. This mode lets you create a list of forbidden websites.

Add

Add websites to which the access will be allowed or blocked, depending on the selected operating mode. The added websites will appear in the corresponding list.

Website address

The website address should begin with http:// or https://. The access is allowed or blocked to all websites in the domain. For example, if you add http://www.example.com to the list of allowed websites, access is allowed to http://pictures.example.com and http://example.com/movies.

If a URL is redirected to a different website, Web Control checks only the redirect target.

Add to bookmarks on device

Determines whether an allowed website will be added to the bookmark panel in Safari.

By default, this check box is cleared.

This check box is available only if the Allow only listed websites operating mode is selected.

Bookmark name

The name of the website bookmark on the bookmark panel in Safari.

This field is available only if the Add to bookmarks on device check box is selected.
