Configuring Kaspersky Endpoint Security

If the device on which you have installed Kaspersky CyberTrace is protected by Kaspersky Endpoint Security, we recommend that you configure the security application, as described in this section. Otherwise, you may face unexpected performance degradation of the system.

Configuring Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows

To configure Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows:

  1. Add the following paths to the list of scan exclusions:
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\feeds
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\httpsrv\etc
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\ioc_exports
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\modules\elasticsearch\data
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\var
  2. Add the following processes to the list of trusted applications:
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\bin\kl_feed_service.exe
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\bin\kl_balancer.exe
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\modules\elasticsearch\bin\elasticsearch-service-x64.exe
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\plugins\virus_total\virus_total.exe
    • %ProgramFiles%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky CyberTrace\tools\kl_feed_compiler.exe

Configuring Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux

To configure Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Linux:

  1. Add the following directories to the list of exclusions:
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/feeds
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/httpsrv/etc
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/ioc_exports
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/modules/elasticsearch/data
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/var
  2. Add the following applications to the list of exclusions:
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/bin/kl_feed_service
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/bin/kl_balancer
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/modules/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/plugins/virus_total/virus_total
    • /opt/kaspersky/ktfs/tools/kl_feed_compiler
