Set the machine block time

If a remote machine tries to encrypt a shared folder, Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business will block the connection of the remote machine to the shared folder for the amount of time specified in the settings.

To set the machine block time:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the lower left corner of the main window, select Settings settings_icon.

    The Settings list opens.

  3. Switch to the Shared folders protection section.
  4. Specify the amount of minutes to block the connection. The maximum is 99 minutes.
  5. Save your changes.

    The block time is set.

When you exit the Settings section, you will be prompted to save the changes or leave the section without saving. Don't forget to save the changes if you want them to apply.
