Compatibility of the Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) component versions with Kaspersky Endpoint Security versions

You can install Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security or separately.

When Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) is installed as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, the programs integrate with each other. In this case, Kaspersky Endpoint Agent also sends information about threats detected by Kaspersky Endpoint Security and results of threat processing by this program to the Central Node server.

You can install the following versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security:

• Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.7 or Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) 3.6.1 as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.2, 11.3.

  Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.7 is incompatible with Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform.

• Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.9 as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.4, 11.5.
• Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.10 as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.6.

When you install Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, the standalone Kaspersky Endpoint Agent (Endpoint Sensors) program of the same or earlier version is removed.

If you are using both Endpoint Sensors 3.6.X installed as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security and the standalone Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.8 or 3.9 simultaneously, Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack Platform receives data from both programs. The following errors can result from this:

• Information about IDS and Sandbox alerts is not received from Endpoint Sensors 3.6.X.
• Kaspersky Endpoint Agent 3.8 or 3.9 does not send alert information to Kaspersky Endpoint Security

To avoid the errors, do one of the following:

• Disable the use of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent program as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security before upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Agent program to version 3.8 or 3.9.
• Before and after upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to version 3.8 or 3.9, disable the use of version 3.6.X in Kaspersky Endpoint Agent program policy.

You can upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to versions 3.8 and 3.9 either as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security or separately. When you upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Agent as part of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, the integration of compatible program versions is maintained. You can upgrade a previous version of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to version 3.10 only for Kaspersky Endpoint Agent versions 3.8 and 3.9.
