When deleting accounts, the following limitations apply:
The user account named 'admin' cannot be deleted.
This user account is created during the installation of the component and is used for working with the web interface, the application administrator menu, and the server management console (in Technical Support Mode).
You cannot delete your own user account.
After deleting accounts, the following special considerations apply:
The user account name is retained in the information about the following objects (if the user has worked with them): in alert change history, in information about objects in Storage, in custom rules, reports, report templates.
The user account name is retained in the application logs.
The ability to search, sort, and filter objects by the name of the user account is retained.
If an alert assigned to the user was open at the time when the user account was deleted, the alert card is modified in the following way after the deletion:
The alert status changes to New.
A dash appears in the Assigned to field instead of the deleted assignee account.
If an alert assigned to the user was closed at the time when the user account was deleted, the alert remains assigned to this user after the deletion.
The session of a user account that has been deleted ends when the session expires or when the user logs in to the web interface of this SCN with the same user name as the user name of the deleted account.
To delete one user account:
Log in to the web interface with the application administrator account.
In the window of the application web interface, select the Settings section, Users subsection.
Select the user account that you want to delete.
This opens the Edit user account window.
Click Delete.
The confirmation window is displayed.
Click Yes.
The user account is deleted.
To delete multiple user accounts:
Log in to the web interface with the application administrator account.
In the window of the application web interface, select the Settings section, Users subsection.
Select the check boxes to the left of the names of the users whose accounts you want to delete.
A control panel appears in the lower part of the window.
Click Delete.
The confirmation window is displayed.
Click Yes.
The user accounts are deleted.
If, at the time of deleting an account, the user is authorized in the web interface of the application, after the session expires or the user navigates to a different section of the web interface, the user's session ends and a notification is displayed to the effect that the account has been deleted. If the user refreshes the page, the session ends without a notification.
