How to search for vulnerabilities in applications installed on your computer

Applications installed on your computer may have vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malware. Scanning your computer will help find these vulnerabilities and prevent infection of your computer.

To start a vulnerability scan:

1. Open the main application window.
2. In the More Tools drop-down list, select Vulnerability Scan.
3. In the Vulnerability Scan window, click the Start scan button.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus starts scanning your computer for vulnerabilities.

Starting with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2021, the operating system vulnerability scan feature is no longer included with the application. If you want to scan for operating system vulnerabilities, you can go back to the previous version of the application.
