Task creation is performed before, as an individual step.
If you selected the Open task properties window after creation check box on the Finish creating the task page during the task creation, proceed to step 4 of the following instruction.
To configure the Delete file task settings:
On the Devices tab select Tasks.
To open the task settings window, click the task name.
Select the Application settings tab.
In the Object to be removed list click Add.
The Object to be removed dialog box opens.
In the Please specify an object that is to be removed drop-down list, select one of the following values: Specify an object by its full path or Specify an object by its folder path and its checksum.
If you select the Specify an object by its full path option, specify the full path to the file in the File full path field.
If you select the Specify an object by its folder path and its checksum option, configure the following settings:
In the Checksum type drop-down list, select one of the following values: MD5 or SHA256.
Specify the value in the Checksum field.
Specify the value in the File folder path field.
Click OK to add the specified object to the Object to be removed list.
You can specify several objects for deletion in one Delete file task.
If the file is locked by another process, the task will be displayed with the Completed status, but the file itself will be deleted only after the device is restarted. It is recommended to check if the file is deleted successfully after the device is restarted.
Deleting a file from a connected network drive is not supported.
