Starting from version 3.10, Kaspersky Managed Protection (also referred to as KMP) usage cannot be configured by means of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent. If usage of the KMP service was enabled in the previous Kaspersky Endpoint Agent version, the KMP service continues functioning after the application is updated to version 3.10 and later. After the application update, you can disable the KMP service only using Kaspersky Endpoint Agent Administration Plug-in or Kaspersky Endpoint Agent Web Plug-in of versions earlier then 3.10.
Kaspersky Managed Protection (also referred to as KMP) is an operational service intended to actively search for cyberthreats that are aimed at your organization. As part of the service, Kaspersky Cybersecurity Monitoring Center experts analyze extended telemetry data received from Kaspersky Security for Business and Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack products installed in the customer networks and acting as sensors. This information is aggregated using Kaspersky Security Network and is examined by the analysts on the basis of Threat intelligence data received by Kaspersky during the whole activity period, which makes it possible to detect current tactics, techniques and procedures of cybercriminals.
KSN functionality may not be available in the application in the U.S.
To enable or disable the use of KSN:
Expand the Managed devices node in the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console tree.
Select the administration group for which you want to configure application settings.
Perform one of the following actions in the details pane of the selected administration group:
To configure application settings for a group of protected devices, select the Policies tab and open the Properties: <Policy name> window.
In the tree of Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console, expand the Managed devices node.
Expand the administration group whose policy settings you want to configure, and select the Policies tab in the results pane.
Select the policy you want to configure.
Open the Properties: <Policy name> window in one of the following ways:
Select the Properties option in the context menu of the policy.
Click the Configure policy settings link in the results pane of the selected policy.
The terms of the KSN Statement must be accepted if you are enabling the use of KSN for the first time or the version of the KSN Statement in the policy does not match the version of the KSN Statement in the Kaspersky Endpoint Agent administration plugin. This situation occurs if the plugin is updated to version 4.0 but the policy was created in an earlier version of the plugin.
Follow the Read the terms of the KSN Statement link.
In the window that opens, read the terms of the KSN Statement.
If you agree with the terms and conditions of the KSN Statement, select the I confirm that I have fully read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions of this KSN Statement checkbox.
Do one of the following:
Select the Enable Kaspersky Security Network ("KSN") usage checkbox if you want to enable the use of KSN.
Clear the Enable Kaspersky Security Network ("KSN") usage checkbox if you want to disable the use of KSN.
This check box allows you to control data transmission from protected devices to KSN.
If the box is selected, all data is sent to KSN via Kaspersky Security Center.
If the check box is cleared, data from the Administration Server and protected devices are sent to KSN directly, bypassing Kaspersky Security Center. The active policy determines what type of data is sent directly to KSN. The check box is selected by default.
In the upper right corner of the settings group, change the switch from Policy not enforced to Under policy.
