Resetting user password

For a user who has the User cannot change password option enabled in account properties in Active Directory, the Reset password response action in Active Directory will not be executed.

To reset an Active Directory user password from alert details:

  1. Open the alert details.
  2. Go to Alert details → File settings group, and then in the Owner line select Reset password from the drop-down list

We recommend that you use Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows version 12.10 or later.

User password in Active Directory is reset.

If the user has the Password never expires option enabled in account properties in Active Directory, then after executing the Reset password response action, the Password never expires option is disabled, and the user will be required to change their domain password at the next login.
