This section describes parameters of the Removable drives scan task.
All available values and default values for each setting are described below.
ScanRemovableDrives
Enables or disables scanning of removable drives on connection to the computer.
This option is not applied to CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs (see the ScanOpticalDrives option below).
Available values:
DetailedScan—Scan all files on removable drives (except CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs). For the detailed scan, default parameters of the on-demand scan task are used.
QuickScan—Scan only files of certain types on removable drives (except CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs). For the quick scan, default parameters of the File Threat Protection task are used.
NoScan—Do not scan removable drives on connection.
Default value: NoScan
ScanOpticalDrives
Enables or disables scanning of CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs on connection to the computer.
Available values:
DetailedScan—Scan all files on CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs. For the detailed scan, default parameters of the on-demand scan task are used.
QuickScan—Scan only files of certain types on CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs. For the quick scan, default parameters of the File Threat Protection task are used.
NoScan— Do not scan CD/DVD drives and Blu-ray discs on connection.
Default value: NoScan
BlockDuringScan
Specifies, if files on the connected drive are blocked during the scan. While scanning boot sectors, files are not blocked.
Available values:
Yes—Block files during the scan.
No—Do not block files during the scan.
Default value: No
