Initial configuration of Kaspersky Endpoint Security

After installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security using the command line, perform initial configuration of the application by running Kaspersky Endpoint Security initial configuration script. The initial configuration script is included in Kaspersky Endpoint Security package.

After installation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security using the command line, initial configuration procedure must be performed to activate anti-virus protection on the computer.

To run Kaspersky Endpoint Security initial configuration script, execute the following command:

# /opt/kaspersky/kesl/bin/kesl-setup.pl

The initial setup script must be run with root privileges after the installation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security package is finished. The script requests the values of Kaspersky Endpoint Security settings step-by-step. When the script is finished and releases the console, the initial setup of the application is complete.

To check the return code, execute the following command:

echo $?

If the command returns code 0, the initial setup of the application finished successfully.
