Access to data storage devices

The table contains the following columns:

• Type – device types (for example, Hard drives, Printers).
• Access – access rules for the devices of the corresponding type:

  You can select one of the following access rules:

• Allow – provide access to devices of the corresponding type.
• Block – prohibit access to devices of the corresponding type.
• Depends on bus (default value) – allow or block access to devices depending on the access rule for a bus used for connecting a device to the computer.
• Based on rules – allow or block access to devices, depending on the access rule and schedule. You can configure the access rule and its schedule by clicking the required device type.

Access to removable drives

The table contains the following columns:

• Type – removable drive type (for example, Input devices, Sound adapters).
• Access – access rules for removable drive of the corresponding type.

  You can select one of the following access rules:

• Allow – provide access to removable drives of the corresponding type.
• Block – prohibit access to removable drives of the corresponding type. The Block access rule cannot be selected for network adapters.
• Depends on bus (default value) – allow or block access to removable drives depending on the access rule for the connection bus used for connecting a removable drive to the computer.
