Additional software requirements for Light Agent mode

Kaspersky Endpoint Security can be used as a Light Agent as part of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent 6.4. You can view the virtual infrastructure requirements of the application in Light Agent mode in Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent Help.

The software and hardware requirements of Kaspersky Endpoint Security apply with the specified limitations to virtual machines with Kaspersky Endpoint Security in Light Agent mode.

The BIOS on a protected virtual machine must support the SMBIOS specification version 2.1 or later.

The following packages must be installed on the virtual machines that you want to protect, depending on the virtual infrastructure in which Kaspersky Hybrid Cloud Security for Virtualization Light Agent is deployed:

• In a Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure, the Integration Services package must be installed on the virtual machines.
• In a VMware vSphere infrastructure, the VMware Tools package must be installed on the virtual machines.
• In a XenServer infrastructure, XenTools must be installed on the virtual machines.
• In a HUAWEI FusionSphere infrastructure, the HUAWEI Tools package must be installed on the virtual machines.
• In an infrastructure based on KVM, OpenStack, VK Private Cloud, TIONIX Cloud Platform, Astra Linux, ALT Server Virtualization, Basis, Basis.Dynamix, or Basis Dynamix Standard, QEMU Guest Agent must be installed on virtual machines.
