Web Protection

The following conditions must be met to enable Web Protection:

To use Web Protection in Telegram, disable opening links in the In-App Browser in Telegram settings.

Web Protection on Android devices works only in the Google Chrome browser (including the Custom Tabs feature), Huawei Browser, and Samsung Internet Browser. Web Protection for Samsung Internet Browser does not block sites on a mobile device if a work profile is used and Web Protection is enabled only for the work profile.

To use Web Protection at all times when you browse the web, set Google Chrome or Samsung Internet Browser as the default browser.

To set a supported browser as the default browser and use Web Protection for website scanning at all times:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, tap SettingsApp settingsWeb Protection.
  2. Switch the Web Protection toggle button to On.
  3. Tap Set default browser.

This button is displayed when Web Protection is enabled and a supported browser has not been set as the default browser.

The default browser selection wizard starts.

  4. Follow the wizard instructions.

The wizard sets Google Chrome, Huawei Browser, or Samsung Internet Browser as the default browser. Web Protection continuously scans websites while you browse the web.

Scanning notifications from messengers

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android can detect malicious and phishing URLs in notifications from Telegram, WhatsApp, the default SMS app, and other common messengers. Only URLs expressed as text directly in the notification text can be scanned. URLs embedded in markup are not scanned.

The following conditions must be met to enable notification scanning:

To allow access to notifications so the app can scan them:

  1. In the main window of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, tap SettingsApp settingsWeb Protection.
  2. Turn on the Block notifications that contain malicious and phishing URLs toggle switch.

The Notification access required window opens.

  3. Tap Continue.

    The corresponding settings section opens.

  4. Turn on the Kaspersky Endpoint Security toggle switch.
  5. In the dialog that opens, allow the app to read all your notifications.
  6. Go back to Kaspersky Endpoint Security.

The app now scans notifications to detect malicious and phishing URLs. If a dangerous URL is found, the notification is blocked and a blocking screen with information about the blocked notification appears.

If Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android is not enabled as an Accessibility feature, the app sends a push notification about the detected dangerous URLs instead of displaying a blocking screen. After tapping the push notification, a screen with information about the blocked notification appears.
