Default Firewall Management task settings

Setting

Default value

Description

Inbound connections

Block

You can configure the settings for incoming traffic rules to block or allow inbound connections.

By default, type of the rule is opposite to the policy type. For example, for the Default deny policy, the default value for the rule is set to Allow. For the Default allow policy, the default value for the rule is set to Block. You can change the type of the rule as applicable.

Outbound connections

Allow

You can configure the settings for outgoing traffic rules to block or allow outbound connections.

By default, type of the rule is opposite to the policy type. For example, for the Default deny policy, the default value for the rule is set to Allow. For the Default allow policy, the default value for the rule is set to Block. You can change the type of the rule as applicable.

Enable ICMP connections

Disabled

This option controls incoming and outgoing ICMP connections simultaneously via ICMPv4 and ICMPv6 protocols.

If the option is enabled, Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security ignores the Block value configured for the inbound connection or outbound connection settings. The selected Enable ICMP connections option is of a higher priority.

Task start schedule

N/A

The Firewall Management task does not start automatically at the start of Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security.

You can configure the task start schedule.
