Export and import of registry access monitoring rules

You can export registry access monitoring rules created manually in the properties of the Registry Access Monitor task to an XML file.

You can import registry access monitoring rules that were previously exported to an XML file into the properties of the Registry Access Monitor task.

To export or import registry access monitoring rules using the Web Plug-in:

1. In the main window of the Kaspersky Security Center Web Console, select Devices → Policies & profiles.
2. Click the policy name you want to configure.
3. In the <Policy name> window that opens select the Application settings tab.
4. Select the System Inspection section.
5. In the Registry Access Monitor block, click the Settings button.

   The Registry Access Monitor opens on the Registry Access Monitor settings tab.

6. Export or import registry access monitoring rules:
   • How to export registry access monitoring rules.

     In the Registry access monitoring rules block, click the Export button.

     The application saves the RegistryMonitor.xml file with the settings of registry access monitoring rules in the C:\Users\<User name>\Downloads folder.

   • How to import registry access monitoring rules.
     1. In the Registry access monitoring rules block, click the Import button.
     2. Click the Import button.

        The standard Microsoft Windows Open window opens.

     3. Specify the path to the XML file with the settings of the registry access monitoring rules.
     4. Click the Open button.

        The rules imported via rule list merge will be displayed in the Registry Access Monitor block of the Registry access monitoring rules window.

        If the registry branch name in the imported rule matches the registry branch name of an existing rule, the imported rule will not be added even if the values of the settings for this registry branch differ in the rules.

7. Click the Save button to save the changes.
