Distribution kit

The distribution kit includes the welcome application that lets you do the following:

Start the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Setup Wizard.
Start the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Console Setup Wizard.
Start Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.
Read about this version of Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security.
Open the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security 4.0 Help.
Go to Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security page on the Kaspersky website.
Visit the Kaspersky website.
Visit the Technical Support website.

The distribution kit files are stored in the different folders depending on their intended use (see table below).

Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security distribution kit files

File	Purpose
autorun.inf	Autorun file for the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Setup Wizard when installing the application from removable drive.
setupui.exe	Application welcome screen launch file.
ess_win.kud	File in Kaspersky Unicode Definition format with a description of the installation package for remote installation of the application via Kaspersky Security Center.
\console\esstools.msi	Windows Installer installation package; installs Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Console on the protected devices.
\console\setup_esstool.exe	Startup file for a wizard that installs a set of Administration Tools components (including the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Console). The installation package file esstools.msi is started with the installation settings specified in the wizard.
\console\license.txt	Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Management Console End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy text file.
\exec\bases.cab	Archive of anti-virus databases current at the time of application release.
\exec\cleaner_v2.cab \exec\cleanerapi_v2.cab	Files for removing incompatible software.
\exec\ess.cab	Files for the graphical interface of the application.
\exec\ess_win.kud	File in Kaspersky Unicode Definition format with a description of the installation package for remote installation of the application via Kaspersky Security Center.
\exec\ess_win.msi	Windows Installer installation package: this installs Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security on the protected device.
\exec\incompatible.txt	Kaspersky does not guarantee the compatibility of Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security with applications listed in the file.
\exec\installer.ini	File that contains the internal settings of the distribution kit.
\exec\klcfginst.msi	Installer for Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Administration Plug-in available via the Kaspersky Security Center. Install the Administration Plug-in on each protected device where the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console is installed if you plan to use it for managing Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security.
\exec\ksn_en.txt	File with the text of the KSN Statement.
\exec\license.txt	Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy text file.
\exec\package.kcat	File with the signatures of distribution kit files.
\exec\setup_ess.exe	The file that starts the wizard for installing Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security on the protected device; it starts the installer package file ess_win.msi with the installation settings specified in the wizard.
\kvrt\KVRT.exe	Installer for Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.
\product_long_term\cleaner_v2.cab \product_long_term\cleanerapi_v2.cab	Files for removing incompatible software.
\product_long_term\ess.cab	Files for the graphical interface of the application.

\product_long_term\incompatible.txt	Kaspersky does not guarantee the compatibility of Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security with applications listed in the file.
\product_long_term\installer.ini	File that contains the internal settings of the distribution kit.
\product_long_term\klcfginst.exe	Installer for Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Administration Plug-in available via the Kaspersky Security Center. Install the Administration Plug-in on each protected device where the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console is installed if you plan to use it for managing Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security.

Distribution kit files can be run from the Installation CD. If you have copied the distribution package files onto the local drive beforehand, make sure that the structure of the distribution kit files has been preserved.
