Preset Firewall rules support basic scenarios of interaction between protected devices and Administration Server. To make full use of Kaspersky Security Center functions, you need to configure port rules. After the application is installed and Firewall rules are configured, the application monitors changes to Windows Firewall rules and rule groups when the Firewall component is running. To update the status and to add necessary Windows Firewall rules, restart the Firewall component.
When you start the Firewall component, the deny rules and rules that control outbound traffic are automatically removed from Windows Firewall settings.
Characters * and ? cannot be used in the application path and in the name of the Firewall rule for applications.
In the Windows operating system, in Firewall settings (Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Firewall & network protection), the button that enables the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Firewall only enables the Firewall, but does not switch it to Block mode unless, before enabling the firewall, you had the Observe the state of Windows Firewall Firewall mode enabled. The button, enabling Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security Firewall, will stop being displayed only after the Firewall mode is changed to Block.
