When connecting a barcode scanner to the computer, the BadUSB Attack Prevention component identifies this device as an input device and prompts you to perform authorization. To authorize the barcode scanner, you must scan a barcode displayed on the screen. The application generates a barcode in the Code39 format that is supported by most barcode and QR code scanners.
Kaspersky Endpoint Security also supports another barcode scanner authorization method. If you are using touchscreen devices, you can use an on-screen keyboard to type a code. To do so, you need to allow the on-screen keyboard. This method is convenient, for example, in the case of stationary barcode scanners built into cash registers. Other barcode scanner authorization methods are forbidden.
By default the application does not use a barcode for authorization of USB devices.
