Compatibility with Citrix App Layering technology

If you intend to use the Full User Layer for saving the state of the temporary virtual machines, you must do the following before installing virtual machines on the template:

  1. Create the C:\Program Files\Unidesk\Uniservice\UserExclusions\KESLA.txt file and add the following exclusions to it:
    • C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\
    • C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\
  2. In the registry of the operating system in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Unifltr key, create a new DWORD value named MiniFilterBypass and set it to 1.
  3. In the registry of the operating system in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Unirsd key, create a new MULTI_SZ value named ExcludeKey and set it to \Registry\Machine\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KasperskyLab.
  4. Restart the virtual machine.

For installation on virtual machines in an infrastructure that uses Citrix App Layering, you must do the following:

  1. Install the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Agent and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows on the virtual machine template in the Application Layer.
  2. Create a virtual machine image consisting of multiple layers.
  3. Deploy the created image on hypervisors that support the Citrix App Layering solution.
  4. Configure the creation of temporary virtual machines from the created image.
